Ian Woods has over 25 years experience of working with teams and individuals in defining purpose, engaging focus and raising performance. He started his working life as an Engineer in the military, spent 12 years as a professional athlete competing at two Olympic Games and, since retiring as an athlete, has coached other athletes to Olympic level. After a decade of pioneering and leading churches in West Cumbria and South West Scotland he then spent four years as Director of Professional Development at the YMCA National Centre and is now Director of Onesimus, a leadership training consultancy based in the Lake District. His work includes leader, team and management development, coaching, process facilitation, conference facilitation and organisational development. He’s a qualified Executive Coach, a confident public speaker, an occasional sports commentator and a member of the UK board of Equip Leadership.
