Jan has experience of overseeing and supporting change in public and charity sector organisations. She is qualified as a teacher, leadership development coach, and counsellor. A member of the Association of Coaches she works with the team of coaches at Newcastle Business School and is an associate lecturer on the Coaching programme.

Her current work as a coach and consultant is with senior leaders implementing change in complex organisations; and people reviewing their skills as they face demanding leadership challenges.

Working in organisations undergoing strategic and structural change in turbulent times Jan has developed and managed both processes and people. Leadership coaching, team development and group facilitation have been key features of her practice.

Her professional purpose is focused on enabling people to explore and plan a transformational journey both for themselves and their organisation. She writes, "I believe God wants our society to be transformed by Christian people living kingdom values wherever they are placed with good leaders inspiring them. I enjoy working with the people God is calling to such leadership; offering creative space, intelligent observation, and challenge to promote transformative thinking and learning. If “Every blade of grass has an Angel bending over it whispering ‘Grow, grow’ ”(The Talmud), I aim to emulate such angels!
